Things
could work
differently.
I’m interested in the systems between an intention and its realization.
I observe them, question them, and rebuild them when they get in the way.
architect by training, systems thinker by practice.
oooo is my personal practice.
A place where I explore products, organizations, information, technology and the systems that connect them.
The subject changes. The question rarely does:
Does it really have to work this way?
From intention
to action.
We build systems to help us work.
Documents. Processes. Interfaces. Organizations. Software. Rules.
But over time, those systems often become the work itself.
My work starts here.
I work to remove what stands between intention and action.
I started
with buildings.
Architecture taught me something more important than architecture itself: how to take a complex intention and make it real. Over time, the scale changed. I moved from designing buildings to managing projects, teams, organizations, real-estate portfolios, information systems and digital products. The object changed. The underlying problem didn’t.
Projects are the evidence.
Because I wanted
to understand.
I dismantled part of the engine because I wanted to know what was actually happening inside.
This started
in Venice. Obviously.
Bought a 1960 hull almost on impulse. Spent two years rebuilding it. Then started thinking about boating differently. That eventually became AUA.
Ideas
need
reality.
Projects, products, organizations and experiments only become meaningful when they survive contact with the real world.
Interesting
problem?
I’m always interested in ideas, systems and problems that don’t quite fit into a box.
